Terms

The rules for using TVLens.

Last updated October 22, 2026.

By using TVLens, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

A beta

TVLens is a free, invite-only beta. Features will change, and some will break. I may pause or end the beta at any time.

Your account

  • One person per account. Keep your password to yourself.
  • Each invite code works once.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you add

Your ratings and tags are yours. You give TVLens permission to store them and use them to run the service, including the averages and the shared tag words that other readers see without your name. Keep tags free of abuse, hate, and anything illegal. I may remove a tag that breaks this rule.

Fair use

Do not scrape TVLens, overload it, break into it, or create accounts with a script. I may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms.

Show data

Show details, images, cast, and crew come from TMDB. They may be wrong or out of date. Recommendations are suggestions, not promises.

No warranty

TVLens comes as it is, with no warranty of any kind. As far as the law allows, I am not liable for any loss that comes from using it.

Governing law

The laws of the State of Maryland govern these terms.

The code

The TVLens source code is open under the MIT License on GitHub. The license covers the code, not the TMDB data or images.

Changes

When these terms change, I will update this page and its date and note the change in the changelog.
